Gada Special Economic Zone staff Visited Addis Ababa’s Riverside Projects

Gada Special Economic Zone staff conducted an experience-sharing visit to Addis Ababa’s Riverside Corridor Development. They were warmly received and guided by H.E. Mr. Kedir Adem, Head of the Addis Ababa City Administration Corridor and Riverside Development Management Authority. The tour began at Entoto Park and continued through to Arada Park, offering participants a vivid demonstration of how well-designed urban projects can inspire similar initiatives in GSEZ. Mr. Motuma Temesgen, CEO of GSEZ, expressed his deep appreciation for the warm hospitality and insightful explanations provided by H.E. Mr. Kedir Adem.

A central takeaway from the visit was the value of integrated urban planning that harmonizes essential infrastructure with vibrant public spaces. The Riverside Development Corridor illustrates how combining roads, utilities, walkways, bike lanes, green areas, and recreational facilities can enhance both functionality and quality of life. This model shows that modern development not only improves connectivity and livability but also stimulates economic growth by creating jobs, promoting urban tourism, and fostering an active and engaging environment for residents.
