GADAA City (GSEZ): Emerging as Africa’s Multi-Sectoral Economic Hub
Gada City, formally known as the Gada Special Economic Zone (GSEZ), was established with an ambitious vision of becoming a premier African economic hub. Conceived as a multi-sectoral development platform, the Zone is guided by its own establishment and business legislation, ensuring structured governance, predictable service delivery, and a conducive environment for investors. To this end, GSEZ has undertaken extensive groundwork by preparing serviced land equipped with critical infrastructure such as modern road networks, reliable water systems, and a dedicated power substation, thereby creating an enabling environment for high-performance operations.
Designed to proactively harness emerging opportunities in investment, trade, and manufacturing, GSEZ is strategically positioned to capitalize on future economic shifts. Its integration into the Belt and Road Initiative has elevated its global visibility, opening pathways for broader cooperation and extensive market linkages. Parallel to this, the Zone is advancing its internal investment landscape and strengthening partnerships to fuel sustained economic growth.
GSEZ is currently mapping and developing a comprehensive set of economic corridors, including a free trade corridor, a manufacturing industrial corridor composed of 13 specialized clusters, an agricultural corridor, a real-estate development corridor, a tourism corridor, diversified service centers, and an ICT innovation park. These interconnected corridors are designed to stimulate sectoral synergy, enhance productivity, and foster value added growth.
In this regard, Gada City plays a pivotal role in advancing national and regional development priorities, attracting foreign investment, empowering youth through job creation, diversifying export portfolios, promoting import substitution, and accelerating industrialization as part of broader economic structural transformation. In essence, Gada City is both a “completed and commencing” urban hub: a strategically planned city with concrete objectives, transparent land and property management frameworks, abundant opportunities, and coordinated institutional commitment.
To advance its strategic vision, GSEZ has great support from government leaders. We, therefore, welcome and encourage investors to seize the opportunities GSEZ offers.”
