Ethiopian Customs Commission organized a training session for workers at the Gada Special Economic Zone (GSEZ) today, focusing on key topics such as SEZ Laws and Customs Procedures, Certificate of Origin issuance for SEZ products, and Customs Valuation. The primary objectives of this training is to start a Free Trade Zone within the GSEZ and enhance the efficiency of customs services in the zone. Mr. Motuma Temesgen, CEO of the Gada Special Economic Zone Development Corporation (GSEZDC), welcomed the participants and outlined the objectives of the training. Ms. Genet Abrha from the Ethiopian Customs Commission kicked off the session by delving into the intricacies of SEZ laws and customs procedures, with the training scheduled to span over two days. This initiative highlights the commitment of Ethiopian authorities to promote economic growth and facilitate trade through specialized training programs tailored to the needs of SEZ workers.
